Lightning Grant FAQs

What are Lightning Grants?Lightning grants are four randomly drawn gifts the foundation gives each month.

Who is eligible?Anyone who works for BCSC is eligible. Winners are selected using a randomizer, which generates a number that corresponds to employee numbers.

How much are the grants?The grants are $250.

What can they be used for?The grants must be used to benefit students. We recommend using them for classroom supplies, clubs, or special activities/healthy treats.

How are they distributed?Once winners are selected, building administrators and recipients are notified by e-mail. The acceptance form must be sent back to BCSF at the administration building, and must include: The purpose of the grant, and the method of payment preferred by your building. The foundation will then deliver payment.
We ask that photos and testimonials describing the grant's use be e-mailed to:
schoolfoundation@bcsc.k12.in.us within 30 days of receipt.
